Default Job Description for new ANet Customer Relations Manager?
Now that Gaile is vacating that position http://www.guildwars.com/events/inga...le/default.php,

what talents do you think ArenaNet should include in their job description? Will they get to keep the Frog or is that Gaile's property?

Should they split the job so it's less hours. Should they hire a guy, so players can be free with the verbal abuse?

It's really irrelevent who is hired, at least from a PvP standpoint. Because at the end of the day, its the devs who have the say of buffs and nerfs and map changes, not the CR rep. The changes have to be made more internally

-must be able to manufacture vague answers to fanbase questions when devs refuse to give an answer or care, to play the impossible middle ground when there is a serious disconnect between devs and players

heck I spent a bunch of time working in the decline department for a major credit card so I am used to getting sweared at over the phone --in print is much easier to deal with----but I wont move to washington for that job! (and I doubt they could afford my price either!!)....though working again might be nice ~

Must be able to deal w/ some weird spammy people.

Oh, and anyone can handle the lame verbal abuse that people come up with XD. It's way too hard to have a shred of respect for people who just string together random profanity and threaten to kill your non-existent dog.

Whether it is a man or a woman is entirely beside the point. It certainly shouldn't impact either positively or negatively with policy on 'verbal abuse'. A good community manager is a good community manager, regardless of gender.

The thought of GW with no Gaile seems weird, especially given since GW's third year birthday is coming up. I would hope she'd still play the game.

I also wonder if they have already chosen/hired someone to replace her and just decided to wait on presenting them to us for until after Gaile's party.

As long a new new dev has these i'll be happy.

...oh and they need alot of patiance i'd say, first time i say gaile ina district was 2 nigths ago she was swarmed by messages so yeah patiance
